Community guidelines
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Four rules. They are the whole deal.
Be real
Your photos, your name, your age. No brands, no bots, no borrowed faces. If you would not want the person across the table to be someone else entirely, don't be that person yourself.
Meet in public
First meetings happen at a bar, a café, a venue — somewhere with other people in it. Never share your home address to arrange a first drink, and don't ask anyone else for theirs. Tell a friend where you are going, and sort out your own way home.
Take no for an answer
One message that goes unanswered is an answer. So is "not tonight". Harassment, pressure, unwanted sexual advances and repeated contact after someone has stopped replying get accounts removed.
Drink how you like
Zero-proof is a full option here. Nobody owes anyone a round, a shot, or an explanation — and never push someone to keep up. Sipmate has no drink counts, no streaks and no leaderboards on purpose: the point is the company.
Also not allowed
- Anyone under 18 — or under the local drinking age where it is higher. Sipmate is an adults-only service.
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form, ever. See our child safety standards.
- Hate, threats, violence, or abuse aimed at anyone or any group.
- Nudity and explicit sexual content in profiles.
- Selling anything: goods, services, subscriptions, crypto, yourself.
- Anything illegal, including buying drinks for people under age or arranging drugs.
- Sharing someone's private information or screenshots of a Sipmate chat without their agreement.
If something goes wrong
Three tools, all one tap away:
- Unmatch ends a conversation and removes it from both sides. Chat → menu (⋯) → Unmatch.
- Block hides the two of you from each other everywhere, immediately and in both directions — Tonight, Invites, Chats. Blocking from a chat also unmatches. Chat or profile → menu (⋯) → Block. Blocked people are listed under Profile → Settings → Blocked users if you ever want to undo it.
- Report tells us. Chat or profile → menu (⋯) → Report, then pick a reason: fake profile, harassment, underage, unsafe behaviour, or other with details.
What happens to a report
- Reports are private. The person you report is not told who reported them.
- A human reads every report. We aim to look at reports about safety, minors or immediate risk first, and everything else within a few days.
- Depending on what we find we may warn, hide content, suspend or permanently remove an account, and where the law requires it, contact the authorities.
- Three reports about the same profile within 24 hours hide it automatically until someone has reviewed it.
- We keep reports for 12 months so that patterns of behaviour are visible, then remove them.
You can also write to us at support@fieldfare.cc — especially if something happened after you left the app.
In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first. In the EU that is 112. We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in real time.
Breaking these guidelines is also a breach of the terms of use.
