Delete your account

Leaving is three taps, and you don't have to ask us. If you can't get into the app, one email does it.

In the app

1. Open Sipmate and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

The account is gone from the service immediately. You are signed out and your profile stops appearing to anyone.

By email

If you have lost access to the app or to your sign-in address, write to support@fieldfare.cc with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on the account if you can — it is the fastest way for us to be sure it's you. If you can't, tell us the address you signed up with and the display name on the profile, and we will find another way to check before deleting anything.

We confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within a day or two. No account or app install is needed to make the request.

What gets deleted

• Your profile: display name, bio, date of birth, country, drink and vibe tags, intent.
• Your photos, removed from storage.
• Your stored location point and your last-active timestamp.
• Your tonight status.
• Your passes, your invites and your matches.
• Your messages, in the conversations you were part of.
• Your sign-in record, so the email address is no longer linked to an account.

What we keep, and for how long

• Reports you filed about other people — kept for up to 12 months from the date of the report, in a form that no longer identifies you, so we can still act on patterns of abuse.
• Reports other people filed about you — kept for up to 12 months for the same reason, and where an account was removed for a safety breach we keep the minimum record needed to stop it coming straight back.
• Backups — deleted data disappears from backups within 30 days.
• Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires it.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no way to restore a conversation afterwards. Signing up again later starts an entirely new account.

Other ways to get some distance

If deleting is more than you need:

• Let your status expire and you drop out of most people's Tonight deck.
• Turn off location in your phone's settings — you stop being placed anywhere.
• Block a specific person: chat or profile → menu (⋯) → Block. It works both ways, immediately.
• Unmatch to end one conversation: chat → menu (⋯) → Unmatch.
